Binod is a PhD candidate in the Physics Education Research Group at Florida International University. He believes in “ learning through interaction” and has been investigating the role of students’ engagement on learning in an active learning environment over the last four years. He is also interested to investigate students’ social engagement in a learning community by using social network analysis. Binod is interested in engineering the active learning environment so that students can teach themselves, develop scientific abilities, and acquire positive attitudes towards their field of interest.
His long-term goal is “advancing the teaching methodology of science and mathematics in contexts with fewer resources in an active learning environment”. He would like to meet collaborators with similar interests.
